These beginner sandbag workouts are perfect for those who have just had their sandbag arrive in the mail, or are looking to find inspiration to begin working out with a sandbag but are not sure where to begin.
The sandbag workout video routines below include a short description that details each workout, the duration of the workout and where possible we will outline the exercises that are included in each beginner sandbag workout.
FITNESS BLENDER – 26 MINUTE BEGINNER SANDBAG WORKOUT
This is a great workout for beginners and is the first workout that we actually did when our sandbag arrived in the mail.
Daniel does a great job of talking through each exercise, and each set of exercises is run using a timer so that you’ll know how much time is left with each exercise.
There is also a decent amount of rest between each set, which will enable you to gather your breath and energy for the next set of exercises.
WORKOUT STRUCTURE –
- 5 Groups of 2 Excercises
- Done in an A, B, A ,B format
- Warm Up/Cool Down not included.
TIFFANY LEE GASTON – 20 MINUTE BEGINNER SANDBAG WORKOUT
This beginner workout includes music for those of us who need a little extra motivation.
Each exercise is timed, and the form is shown clearly so that you’ll be able to follow the movements easily.
WORKOUT STRUCTURE –
- Overhead Sandbag Press
- Back Squat
- Front Squat
- Side Lunge – Alternating Legs
Complete 3x rounds performing each exercise for 40 seconds -> followed by 20 seconds of rest. 1 minute of rest between rounds.
SHORTCIRCUITS FITNESS – 12 MINUTE BEGINNER SANDBAG WORKOUT
This workout is short and sharp, and does include some dynamic sandbag exercises that will test the beginner, but is nothing that you won’t be able to push through if you pace yourself.
Each exercise goes for 30 seconds and is timed on the screen.
The workout video does not explain the exercises prior to the sandbag workout, so we recommend skipping through the video to get a basic idea of the routine before you begin.
SHORTCIRCUITS FITNESS – 12 MINUTE BEGINNER SANDBAG WORKOUT
The is a very dynamic routine that loosely incorporates the sandbag, however will certainly burn the calories.
20 seconds of each exercise with 10 seconds of rest between is set.
This 12 minute sandbag workout is ideal for those who want to lose the maximum calories in the minimum amount of time.
For even better results, double up on this routine, or use in conjunction with another of the above routines.
XHIT DAILY – 10 MINUTE BEGINNER SANDBAG WORKOUT
Easy to follow sandbag workout that runs through around 8 sandbag exercises.
Each exercise is clearly instructed, and as above, these short workouts are best complemented with another training routine.
The routine with give your entire body a good pump, and is a great introduction to sandbags.
